About

The goal of the 1568 Project, founded by Catholic theologian Dorothea Ludwig-Wang, is to work toward the restoration of the ancient Roman Psalter prior to Pope Pius X’s Divino Afflatu and the traditional hymns of the Divine Office before the revisions made by Pope Urban VIII. The Project also seeks to raise awareness about the fact that the modern world faces not only a crisis in the Catholic Church due to the actions of corrupt churchmen, but more fundamentally, a crisis of the Church, as her identity as the Bride of Christ has been obscured by excessive bureaucracy and legalism and a lack of appreciation for beauty, femininity, and consecrated virginity.
